CRS week kicked off with a 7am press conference where Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley announced the ACM Awards nominees. The next few days included appearances by Jewel, Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift, Paisley, and many other performers.

Ali's 40th Birthday Party
Backstage at the Kid Rock concert at Sommet Center on Friday night, I ran into Lenore, who invited me to her coworker Ali's 40th birthday bash deep in the tunnels of the arena. Brian from Knoxville had a cool photo booth set up. Food and drinks were spread all around. There was a giant disco ball set up in the corner [it eventually crashed down to the ground, with a little help.] Saw some familiar faces from music row.
